Meal prep is what keeps me on track with my nutrition. I highly recommend it!
It is time consuming.
It makes a mess in the kitchen.
It requires a little organization and a lot of clean up.
It gives me delicious, quick and easy meals all week.
It is the healthiest fast food there is.
The time spent prepping on Sunday is returned double to me each day I don't have to cook or do the dishes for breakfast and lunch.
I use to prep dinner for the kids and I when Phil was deployed. That is long gone and didn't work for us when he returned home. So, after trial and error, I have learned to plan our weeks worth of dinners according to the "containers" I have remaining after my other meals and snacks are planned. This way I prevent myself from deviating from the plan while still getting to enjoy dinner with my family! It is a bonus that 90% of the time they are on board with eating clean too!
I am excited for my week…
Egg salad with avocado for breakfast. Will add whole grain toast and spinach.
Tomato, cucumber, and quinoa salad with grilled chicken for lunch.
Fruit cleaned, washed and packed in serving size portions!
Sunday win = winning all week!
